The Initial assessment is designed to introduce the client/therapist relationship. A full biopsychosocial evaluation will be conducted, to include the presenting problem, a mental status exam, and the client history. This assessment will allow the therapist to hone in on the issues that are most important to the client. This process helps build and design the clients unique treatment plan.

This is an hour long structured meeting between a licensed provider and a client, with the goal of improving some aspect of the client's life. During a session, the client describes their current situation and feelings, and the therapist uses their expertise to assist in resolving problems and moving towards a desired life . Sessions are typically held once a week or on an as needed basis.
